What is the UKCAT?

UKCAT stands for the UK Clinical Aptitude Test. If you want to pursue medicine or dentistry courses in the UK, you must take the UKCAT. 26 out of the 31 medical colleges in the UK select their students using the UKCAT scores. To know more, click here.

What does the UKCAT test?

First, let us see what the UKCAT does NOT test. The UKCAT does not involve any “syllabus based” knowledge. Yes that’s right! No complicated chemical equations to balance, no scientific names to mug up and no theories to cram in. No physics, chemistry or biology to learn or revise. If classroom knowledge is all you have acquired all these years, it is time to step out and DISCOVER. Who conducts the UKCAT?

The test is conducted by a collaboration of Universities in the UK to ensure a fair selection from the vast pool of applicants. The online test is conducted by Pearson VUE, the leading computer-based testing solutions provider. You have to register online and choose a test date and sit for the UKCAT at a Pearson VUE test centre in your vicinity.
